PAYE Tax Allowance

£11,500 per year

Basic Rate Tax (20%)

on annual earnings from £11,501 to £45,000

Higher Rate Tax (40%)

on annual earnings from £45,001 to £100,000

Personal allowance is reduced by 50% of income over £100,000 (i.e. earnings of £123,000 would reduce personal allowance to nil)

Income between £123,000 and £150,000 are taxed at 40%

Additional Tax

45% on annual earnings above £150,000
